Committed to Sustainable Lifestyle Changes, Dr. Lyn is dedicated to helping you to achieve a state of health and well-being that is advocated by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Dr Lyn is an advocate of the WHO's definition of Health because in her opinion, it encompasses an incredibly holistic approach. For example, the WHO, defines a state of Health as a state of complete Physical, Mental, and Social Wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease.

As long as you are doing the best you can: You are Healthy!

The final addition to the WHO's statement above, "not merely the absence of disease", really resonates with Dr Lyn because, it implies that even if an individual has a disease, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease or obesity; if they are working "as best they can" to actively manage it; that doing so will lead to a state of health. In other words, if an individual is actively engaging in life and doing their best to establish a sense of balance that enables them to get the most from their life, in spite of whatever condition they may have: they are considered by the WHO to be "healthy". What an admirable definition and how empowering! Dr Lyn understands that living with obesity can feel pretty stigmatising at times. This is why she finds this definition to be so incredibly hopeful and extremely empowering and she hopes that it also resonates with you.
